While drainage is the "unseen" part of many landscapes, it can be one of the most important. Drainage becomes necessary when water needs to exit bed areas or release from gutters away from the house. Also, pooling water in low areas of lawns creates trouble areas and can also lead to loss of turf. While drainage is not necessary around all homes, there are many cases where moving water away from a home is imperative.
